Viewing of Old Edinboro Movies

No, it’s not the old Best Theater, and the movie isn’t “Gone With The Wind,” but it’s sure to be fun!

Edinboro Area Historical Society members and friends are invited to watch old movies of Edinboro at the society’s next meeting. You’ll see what downtown Edinboro looked like in the 1950s and 1960s through the lens of local photographers and the news media, all originally captured on 8mm and 16mm film. So, bring your favorite “date”, enjoy free popcorn and watch the “G” rated action of Edinboro’s yesteryear!

The Edinboro Area Historical Society’s movie night meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 21st in the council chamber at the Edinboro Municipal Building, 124 Meadville Street.  The business meeting will begin at 6:30 pm followed by refreshments.  The house lights will go down at 7:00.

The Edinboro Area Historical Society’s meetings are free and open to the public.  Both the Edinboro Municipal Building and the council chamber are handicapped accessible.
