Stunning Overlook of Presque Isle Bay
and Downtown Erie
Constructed to commemorate the two-hundredth anniversary of the founding of the City of Erie, the Bicentennial Tower has become a landmark attraction that delights visitors and locals alike. Enjoy a quick elevator ride up to the 138-foot high observation deck where you can take in a stunning, 360-degree view of Presque Isle Bay, Downtown Erie, and the Erie waterfront. Open year-round, the Tower offers you the chance to view Erie’s beautiful waterfront during all seasons.
Two Observation Decks:
Take the stairs up to the 17-foot deck for a different perspective on Erie’s Bayfront, or take the elevator up to the 138-foot high observation deck offering a 360-degree view of the region.
Unique Mural:
Check out one of the region’s most unique works of art from the top observation deck. A 12,000-square-foot mural entitled Flotsam, by international artist Rafael Gerlach, is located underfoot on the second-floor tower deck and is best viewed from the top of the Tower.
Historical Information:
Historical signage throughout the Tower provides a glimpse into Erie’s rich history as a waterfront city.
