Hagen History Center, formerly known as the Erie County Historical Society, is a public museum located in Erie, Pennsylvania. The museum includes exhibit buildings, archival and curatorial collections, educational classrooms, and house museums in Erie and Girard.
Exhibit Galleries
There is always something new to see in our ever-changing rotating exhibit spaces in the Watson-Curtze Mansion (1891) and Wood-Morrison House (1858).
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Field Office Museum
Wright’s original San Francisco field office was carefully deconstructed and reassembled on-site at our Erie campus. The office is part of the Great Wright Road Trip.
Education & Tours
We deliver history to students and other groups through guided tours, in-school programs and more. If your school participates in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, admission and transportation may be covered.
Events & Programming
Our members and guests look forward to several annual events each year! Highly anticipated events include Women Creating a Legacy, Men at the Museum, the Night at the Museum Gala, and the Sunflower Festival.

The Hagen History Center collects and preserves objects of American history with a particular focus on Northwest PA.
Battles Yellow & White House in Girard
Our Girard campus includes two historic homes and more than 130 acres of farmland and public walking trails. The Yellow House (1858) and the White House (1861) are both located on Walnut St. and are open for events and by appointment.
