Connecting generations through the artifacts of our past and the memories of our future—at the Lake Canadohta History Center
Discover the rich history of our region through engaging exhibits, interactive activities, guest speakers, and special events that inspire curiosity and community connection. Our community fundraisers support the Center’s growing mission to bring history to life for future generations.
The Lake Canadohta History Center features an extensive collection of artifacts and displays celebrating the legacy of our beloved lakeside resort and the surrounding rural community—its origins tracing back to the glaciers, and its deep ties to Native Americans and early pioneers.
We proudly opened our new Center in May 2025 and invite you to visit, learn, and share in preserving the story of Lake Canadohta.

Our displays highlight the diverse history of Northwestern Pennsylvania’s rural communities through photos, videos, artifacts, and written materials. We are also recording oral histories, which will soon be available for viewing.
