Museums and historic sites respond to COVID-19 pandemic

Museums and historic sites all across the country are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by cancelling and rescheduling events, temporarily closing doors, and disinfecting surfaces that are well-used, such as door handles, chairs, tables, countertops, etc. The situation is being actively monitored by many institutions who have a responsibility to keep staff, volunteers, and visitors safe. If you would like to learn more about how museums are responding to the coronavirus, visit the American Alliance for Museums’ Resources and Information for the Museum Field.
